The China-TEFL course runs parallel to the International TEFL Diploma program, and participation requires an additional 45-minute daily time investment from trainees. The TEFL Language Awareness Certificate is a 90-hour program that is done online working with your trainers and also with your peer group. The focus is to gain a better understanding of the English language and how it works (esp. the basic structure, grammar and phonetics) before beginning the full TEFL Diploma course. This elective gives TEFL trainees to-be a great head start in the TEFL program because it is necessary for a teacher to understand the basics of how a language works in order to teach it. There are 6 modules in the TEFL Language Awareness online TEFL training program. The success and popularity of the Boland School–Czech internship program in Europe has led us to add it to our Boland-China curriculum as well. This is an internship program at one of our partner Chinese primary or secondary schools, with additional options at our partner language training centers for adults. Through this program, Boland School graduates are offered the chance to gain experience, and improve their teaching skills by participating in the optional two-week to six-month paid internship at a Chinese school upon completion of the TEFL training course. In this time, our newly certified teachers will have the chance to experience what teaching children, teens, adults or Business English at a real Chinese public or private language school is like. This is an excellent way to earn some money while gaining practical teaching experience, and cooperating with professional Chinese educators. Interns receive full accommodation, and also an hourly wage during the internship period. Participation in the internship is free of charge to our TEFL Diploma graduates. The internship program is available year-round. Taking part in this program involves an additional time investment on the part of the trainees, and advance registration is required. | |||||
